Thank you for encouraging me when I'm unsure, understanding and taking care of me when I'm not feeling well, but most of all thank you for being a man of God. I appreciate your thirst for wisdom/knowledge, your stance for truth, and your dedication to our family. Love you, Baby!

Someone's turned 40!

no! not me, silly!

On the 23rd my best friend turned 40. My husband, Mike, has been the great strength behind me, gently encouraging me along the path that God has me traveling. And where does he get that strength?... from the Lord of course. What I love most about him is his stance for the truth, reliance on the Lord and his love/dedication to his family. He is not perfect. But God knew he would be perfect for this imperfect girl.

We wanted to make his birthday special.

I would have totally done it differently. I'm glad I let them go and do whatever they wanted. It turned out sooo much better than I would have done.

Some friends came over and brought dinner already cooked. YAHOO!

Mike blew as hard as he could, but there was one stinkin' candle that was determined to not go out.

Happy Birthday to My Honey

This past weekend we celebrated Mikes birthday. Mom and dad came Saturday evening from Roanoke and stayed the night. We played Rummy until we were so tired we could no longer keep our eyes open. A rare occurrence happened... I didn't win; actually I came in third! I know you can't believe it but it really happened. :0)

On Sunday Paw-paw, Nana and Michael Bean came for lunch. It was great to have everyone together. Here are a few pictures of us eating cake. Cheese cake with strawberries...YUM!
